Just like we’re not saved by our “good works,” we are not healed or blessed in any other way by those works. We cannot earn our covenant blessings purchased on the cross. Though being a “good person” is commendable and needful, God is only moved by our faith!
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
