New Seasons

New seasons are so inspiring! There is something so thrilling about a change from the old into the new.  We celebrate the coming of Spring and Summer, and even Fall.  We have an automatic expectation for something exciting just around the corner.  New seasons were meant to celebrate!

I believe the Body of Christ and the United States are in that “new season.”  While the United States has taken yet another step into the season of rejecting God, the Body of Christ can take another step closer to the Second Coming of Jesus!  It’s a season of change in many ways, both good and bad; but regardless of what it looks like, God has exciting things in store for us if we’ll follow His lead!

I am also in a new season.  For years I’ve known I was called into full-time ministry.  I have served in my church in various ways for years.  For four years I served as school teacher in our Christian school.  Now I am church secretary and am serving with my husband in several areas.  However, I have felt a stirring in my heart as I sense something “new” is coming.  I told my dad that it felt like “birth pangs.”  Though I know in part what my ministry is eventually supposed to look like, I don’t know all the steps and details for how it will unfold.  I just know its fulfillment is coming.  That “baby” I’ve held inside for so long is getting closer to delivery!

As I have prayed about what God would have me do in this season, I’ve gotten new direction for my blog writing.  It may seem minor to you as some changes aren’t that obvious.  However, it’s a big deal to me because it means my dreams are widening.  My blog originated with Blogspot with the title “You’re a Princess.”  I later moved to Word Press and changed the name to Living Royalty.  Both were focused on inspiration for women.  But as I have written articles for Living Royalty, I found that the articles were coming out rather generic.  I kept getting ideas for subjects that applied to both men and women, rather than just for females.  I didn’t even like the pink in anymore!  This (and the voice of the Holy Spirit) was an indication to me that I wasn’t just called to write for women; I was also called to write for men.  I believe I’m called to minister to the entire Body of Christ!

As a result, I have changed my logo color and made some adjustments to my pages. (Be patient with me!  The color could change again as I experiment!)  I will be listening to the Holy Spirit to know just what the next steps are, but I trust that whatever it is, it will be for your benefit.  This blog isn’t for me; it’s for you!

Are you in a new season?  I am confident that as you seek God, He will show you exactly what to do.  Though the “big picture” may not be obvious, He’s got every step, every path, intricately planned!  Though it may seem intimidating, God has promised His divine help!  Zechariah 4:6 says, “It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.” You can’t do it on your own, but He can do it through you!  All things are possible! (Matthew 19:26)

  1. I agree, “Though it may seem intimidating, God has promised His divine help!”
I’ve been doing a project which is Newsletter writing. I am happy but also overwhelmed by the fact that now I am seriously writing for real people. Blog writing and newsletter writing are totally different things for me. Because in newsletter writing, I know my audience and I write from a certain topic given to me. While blog writing, I write what I want to write. Yeah, this season is intimidating in a whole new level. But I’ve been praying for this for a long time and God have given me this. Surely, He will help me.
Btw, I love the new color of the Heading. It’s red, my fave color. Haha. 🙂

    • I hear ya! My potential intimidation has to do with teaching God’s Word, my primary calling. I’ve taught chapels and devotions in our Christian school, and have taught children in children’s ministry for years. However, I know my ultimate calling is to teach adults as well. That’s a whole new and bigger thing for me because it means more influence. The responsibility is greater as it means more people, and I answer to God for what I teach on a greater level. It’s just amazing how God takes our insecurities and strengthens us to use them anyway! Gideon, David, Esther, etc. He sure gets more glory that way! I prayed for you this morning! God’s got this! And so glad I could accommodate your fave color! (=

      • And I realized no great things are to come if we do the same thing over and over again.
God’s way is really amazing. Thanks for inspiring people!
