When we put our focus on the temporary material things of the world, we are disillusioned. Though blessings in the right context, they alone were never meant to satisfy us. They are fleeting and emtpy if the Giver is absent.
These things – money, possessions, relationships, and achievements – will never compare to the consistent presence of Jesus. Unlike the material things, Jesus has promised to never abandon us. As we make Him our first priority, He fills us with Himself . . . and there is no one like Him!
